When you’re in a very josh spirit to give your best to the work, something unexpected would barge in to spoil the gusto. Here’s a similar incident which ‘3 Idiots’ faced…

The three lead stars of the film - Aamir Khan, R Madhavan and Sharman Joshi – had to deliver a night scene where they have fun, boozing in the college campus. To make the scene look real our Mr. Perfectionist Aamir suggested that they should get drunk in real while shooting. Now, all the three went ahead and got themselves drunk, while director Rajkumar Hirani was impressed with the ‘real spirit’ idea and the scenes’ outcome.

However, in the course of the shooting, the unit is said to have run out of their stock of film reel. Now being in the middle of the night they were worried as to from where they will find new reels. Sources said that when Raju Hirani got to know about it, he was worried because he didn’t want this shoot to extend for another day and didn’t want the cast to get drunk all over again.

Then the production unit is said have gone on a film reel hunt. “Fortunately, there was a regional film being shot nearby,” said sources, “And the director of the film was more than happy to help Rajkumar Hirani with reels. Finally the team managed to get a reel and wrap up the shoot.”
